Farm Charm: Outtakes from my Day Trip to Jaemor Farms (in Alto, Georgia)
I know I've been hitting the peaches pretty hard lately, with yesterday's peach galette postal service and last week's farm to table peach cocktail. But I take one more than teeny tiny mention of peaches today and and so I'yard done. I promise. Considering today, I thought I would share the outtakes from my trip to Jaemor Farms.
There were so many fun things to explore, I couldn't fit information technology all into that 1 postal service. And then, today, I'm sharing the other parts of the subcontract (apples, blackness berries, the market place, etc) that I visited. And there MAY be a couple of straggler peach photos in here besides…I merely tin can't help information technology.
Caroline, our farm bout guide, drove Harmony and I around on a golf cart, so we could meet a piffling bit of everything. The land itself was and so lovely, with lots of rolling hills and farm quaintness.
We passed past the blackberry patch on our way out to the peaches. So, on our way dorsum, we fabricated sure to stop and check it out, up close. We snuck our way into the blackberry patch just equally the guys were finishing upwards with picking. And we may have grabbed a few to taste examination… I don't retrieve though. And that volition most definitely concord up in a courtroom of law. 🙂
We as well visited the market area, which has a ton of fresh fruit and vegetables, homemade breads, old fashioned candies, etc. And in that location were…you guessed it…more peaches besides!
Be sure to grab a few snacks earlier you lot caput out, if you have a long drive back dwelling. I like the kettle corn and the jalapeño cheese bread. I realize staff of life isn't a snack, Just if you lot're in my car, information technology is! Bread lovers unite!
Our concluding stop (before heading over to the market) was through the apple orchard. Which was AMAZING! So, I idea I'd finish with these photos.
I swear, if you ever need to save some stress from your week, head to your nearest farm and walk around for a while. It'south cheaper than therapy…or so I hear.
